GR 9 ENVIRONMENT AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION STUDENTS AT DAVID THOMPSON SCHOOL IN CALGARY CLEAN UP THEIR COMMUNITY

In October under a sunny sky and a warm morning, 25 Grade 9 students from the Environment and Outdoor Education class cleaned up their community. It included David Thompson Middle School’s yard, the yard at Acadia Elementary School, The Eagle Community Center’s grounds, two parks, and the streets around the school.  Students filled up recycling and garbage bags and we had discussions about the importance of not littering and their responsibilities toward the environment.

Great experience to give back to our community and school!
