Living Planet @ School grows out of WWF’s Schools for a Living Planet program, which was established in 2007. Schools for a Living Planet produced curriculum-linked resources for download for grades K-12. The most recent addition to these resources focused on Canada’s northern environment and was translated into Inuktitut. Throughout the last decade, the resources available through Schools for a Living Planet have been used extensively by educators, non-governmental organizations, and students. These resources will continue to be made available.

In 2015 WWF launched Go Wild Schools Grants, which provides funding for elementary and secondary schools to initiate their own environmental projects.
