Go Wild School Grants

University and college campuses have an amazing range of resources to apply to pressing environmental issues which give them the capacity for a strong leadership role as we transition to a sustainable society.

What are your ideas for enhancing this leadership on your campus? Can you imagine a way to increase the campus connection to nature? Can you suggest ways your faculty can address important questions about sustainability? Do you see an opportunity for different faculties to work together to create solutions to environmental problems? How can your campus engage the broader community in the practice of sustainability? How would you engage your campus in protecting, restoring, monitoring or celebrating nature?

With a Go Wild School Grant, you can bring your project to life. Be bold and submit your ideas to WWF-Canada. Let’s Go Wild.

The Go Wild School Grants application period for the 2017-2018 school year has closed and recipients will be notified in February 2018.

Are you interested in going wild with WWF-Canada on your campus? Stay tuned in fall of 2018 for your chance to bring your project idea to life.

We will be looking for ideas that:

  • Protect or restore: Activities directly related to restoring, rehabilitating, or recovering natural ecosystems on campus
  • Practice or monitor: Activities directly related to introducing new hands-on or digital practices that reflect the value of nature in the campus community or develop new practices related to the impact of climate change
  • Connect and collaborate: Activities that foster new relationships on campus, for example, between student clubs, faculties and departments, in order to explore new perspectives that build the practice of sustainability.

Individual students, student clubs and associations, faculty, courses, and campus offices and services who engage students will be invited to apply for funding up to $500.
